HCLI-INSEAD HR Business Acumen Programme - Stakeholder Management for HR Leaders
Wee Yun Pamela Chia
Expectations of HR leaders have seen a dramatic shift in the last decade.
HR leaders are expected to create substantial contributions at the leadership team level, as well as bring key stakeholders and teams together to deliver results. HR Leaders begin with defining a desired vision and outcome for their endeavours, identifying people critical to getting there, and influencing them to desire the same outcome and work collaboratively to achieve goals.
Stakeholder management is a key skill set that is required to achieve desired outcomes. Success depends on the leader being capable of integrating key people, business, organisation, and technical skills. It is the integration across a spectrum of skills that enables certain individuals to make a difference and achieve more optimised outcomes.
This module provides the tools, concepts and perspectives that will help HR Leaders to embrace accountability, reframe, and leverage on effective influence and persuasion as vital tools, improve stakeholder management capability through effective negotiation with fewer conflicts and greater confidence, learn best practices and processes to navigate any negotiation, from preparing and debriefing to predicting what is likely to happen next.
